FAIRMONT - A chamber orchestra, a Harlem Boys Choir alumnus, and three family musical acts await Fairmont Concert Association members for the 2010-2011 concert season.
Only members can gain access to the shows, and memberships are on sale now for only a short time.
Members also have the opportunity to see five concerts in Blue Earth, bringing the total performances available up to 10.
Kicking off the season is the Schoenbrunn Palace Orchestra Vienna on Sept. 30. The 12-member orchestra presents a repertoire of mostly Strauss, the era of imperial Vienna.
The next artist, Leon Williams, is a Harlem Boys Choir alumnus. He sings a range of styles from Christmas Carols, to Broadway, to Opera, and will bring his music to Fairmont on Dec. 3.
The first concert of spring is a father/son piano team that claims to provide high-energy programs running the gamut from Liszt, to Liberace, to Gershwin. During their March 20 performance, Simon and Son tell stories of their adventures touring the world.
On March 31 comes the Brett Family Singers from the Legends Family Theatre in Branson, Mo. The family sings favorites from the 1930s through 1970s.
The season wraps up on May 12 with The Marlins, a group of four brothers featuring instruments such as trumpet, banjo and violin.
A season pass for an adult is $40, a child is $10 and a family membership costs $90.
To become a patron, $100 is required, and with $240 or more one can become a benefactor.
All shows start at 7 p.m. at the Fairmont Area High School Performing Arts Center.
The four shows in Blue Earth include: Beatles music from Abbey Road Band on Oct. 15, the ballet Dance'N America on Nov. 23, Nova Cantabile on Dec. 12, Edgar Cruz on Feb. 6, and bluegrass band Red Head Express on April 15.
