BLUE EARTH - Services for James D. Fleming Sr., 78, of Blue Earth, formerly of New Lenox, Ill., and Sarasota, Fla., will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Blue Earth. Burial will be at a later date in Maplewood Cemetery, New Lenox, Ill.
Fleming died Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2009, at his home. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Patton Funeral Home, Blue Earth, and one hour prior to services at the church. There also will be a prayer service 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
James David Fleming Sr., was born Dec. 9, 1931, in Blue Island, Ill., son of David and Elizabeth (Berger) Fleming. He served in the U.S. Navy 1950-54 in the Korean War.
Survivors include: wife, Virginia (Ginny) Fleming of Blue Earth; son, James Fleming of North Mankato; daughters, Sarabeth Maurisak of Des Moines, Iowa, and Sister John Mary Fleming O.P. of Nashville, Tenn., and Kathleen Keenan of Windsor, Conn.; five grandchildren.
