WELCOME - A Celebration of Life Services for MaryAnn "Busse" Ziemer, 82, of Welcome, Minn., will be 1:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 28, 2009, at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Welcome, Minn., with Rev. Rodney Slessor officiating.

Private family burial will be in Sanborn City Cemetery in rural Sanborn, Minn.

Mary Ann died suddenly on Monday afternoon, Dec. 21, 2009, at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester, Minn. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Sunday in the Fellowship Hall of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Welcome and one hour prior to the services at the church on Monday.

MaryAnn was born to Bernhard and Margaret (Kolb) Brown on Feb. 11, 1927, in Stately Township of Brown County, Minn. She lived there until her folks moved to Sanborn, Minn. She started school there in junior high, graduating in 1945.

MaryAnn was married to Lowell Busse on Oct. 1, 1946. Lowell passed away on Nov. 17, 1972. She then met and married Earl Ziemer on June 30, 1977.

MaryAnn enjoyed fishing and camping with Earl. She also enjoyed playing cards and going to her other activities.

She is survived by sons Richard (Cathy) Busse of Delft, Minn.; Roger (Judy) Busse of Windom, Minn.; Raymond (Pat) Busse of Jackson, Minn., and Ralph (Linda) Busse of Welcome, Minn.; daughter, Rebecca (Steve) Olsen of Welcome, Minn.; 15 grandchildren;and 26 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by Earl's children: Charlene Stade, and Dennis and Douglas Ziemer.

She is preceded in death by her husbands, Lowell Busse and Earl Ziemer; her parents; son, Robert Busse; step-son, Dick Ziemer; sister, Cecela Haas; and brother, Leo Brown; aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
