She participated in band, choir and Girls State. After graduation, she worked at 3M in Fairmont where she met her future husband, Rodney Stine. They were married on Aug. 11, 1956, at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Fairmont and began raising a family. In 1963, Charlotte and Rodney bought a house in Welcome. Charlotte took loving care of her family and home while working evenings at the Welcome Liquor Store until 1970, when she took a secretarial position at the Welcome Creamery. As the law office changed, she continued her career working for Viesselman & Barke, PA until retiring in 1996.

Throughout her life, she enjoyed golfing with her husband & friends, playing piano, attending plays & concerts, singing in the church choir, gardening, raising African violets and playing cards. After retirement, she was an active member of St. Luke's Catholic Church, Welcome Historical Soc., Welcome Cemetery Soc., Welcome Senior Citizens, St. Luke's CCW, Fairmont Opera House Stage Hands & Relay for Life.
