WINNEBAGO - Meaghan Malia Hertel and Timothy Brian Slama were married July 25, 2008, in the Rocky Mountains, overlooking Lyons, Colo. The Rev. Carolyn Carpenter performed the ceremony.
Parents of the couple are Greg Hertel and Sharon Hertel of Seymour, Texas, and Brian and Lori Slama of Winnebago.
Matron of honor was Jessica Kelly of Lubbock, Texas, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Shara Brasher-Simpson of Caddo Mills, Texas, Natalie Mattern of Denver, Colo., Amy Slama of Memphis, Tenn., and Emily Slama of Winnebago, sisters of the groom, Sarah Wiles of Seymour, Texas, and Krisi Hager of Munday, Texas. Flowergirl was Malia Kelly, niece of the bride.

Best man was Travis Snyder of Rosemount. Groomsmen were Damon Hertel and Adam Hertel, brothers of the bride, and Tim Kelly, all of Lubbock, Texas. Ringbearer was Dylan Kelly, nephew of the bride.
Guests were ushered by Robert Owen of Winnebago, and Owen Poole of Appleton, Wis.
A reception was held at Lionscrest Manor, Lyons, Colo.
The couple plan to live in Clive, Iowa.
