EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) — Family members say the woman killed in an officer-involved shooting on a highway in Eden Prairie was a mom of two. And court records show the man she was with had a lengthy police record.
Authorities say 34-year-old Dawn Marie Pfister and 36-year-old Matthew Vincent Serbus were killed Friday in an officer-involved shooting on Highway 212. Both died of multiple gunshot wounds after leading police on a high speed chase.
Few details have been released about the shooting. Family members tell the Star Tribune (http://strib.mn/1iCRdN3 ) they are still seeking answers.
Bridget Johnson is Pfister's stepmother. She says Pfister was from Elkhorn, Wis., and has two children, ages 12 and 9.
Serbus had a long criminal record.
At the time of the shooting, there were pending warrants for their arrests.
