More snow forecast for mid-Atlantic, Appalachians

December 10, 2013
Associated Press

Another round of snow is in the forecast for the mid-Atlantic region, just in time for the morning commute.

The National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning for the Eastern Seaboard, including Baltimore, Washington, D.C., Philadelphia and Wilmington, Del. Snow will begin early Tuesday morning and into the morning rush hour, with accumulations of 3 to 6 inches.

The new snow comes on the heels of Sunday's wintry weather, which dumped several inches of snow on Philadelphia and northern Maryland.

Elsewhere, eastern and central Kentucky and southwest Virginia are expected to get 1 to 3 inches of snow.

All of West Virginia is likely to see snow Tuesday, with 2 to 4 inches forecast for north and central parts of the state and 3 to 5 in the mountains.
