Thank you for the article. As a researcher that is currently registering MN Lyme patients for brain autopsies to detect persistent infection, I would ask that you also cite pathology based case histories and the problems with serology based Lyme research. Previous brain autopsies have revealed the Lyme Bacteria in the brain of a local dementia patient even after treatment with IDSA recommended dosages of doxycycline. I would like to see the emphasis of research move from serology based research which is deeply flawed and misleading, to human pathology which is a higher order of science.
