We should protect them

To the Editor: Why did it have to end for “Buddy,” the dog that was euthanized? There are a lot of good homes out there that would have loved and cared for Buddy the rest of his life....

I agree with 123456 and would like to hear the answers to these questions. I would also like to see more professionalism in the care-taking and PR of the "Faribault County Humane Society" (if this is actually a viable and sanctioned entity)before any of my tax dollars go toward the operating costs.

I have several questions to the 'Faribault County Humane Society'. Prior to start up, did you adopt any articles or bylaws to operate under? Did you have funding in place? Did you have the support of law enforcement, cities and the county? Are you sanctioned by the National Humane Society? Or do you just perceive yourselves a part of them. It was the owner's discretion to put Buddy down, for whatever reason they deemed necessary. I do not want my tax dollars going for animal control, and I have expressed such to my council person. Never forget - this dog bit a child. It needed to be put down.
