I have a lot of immigrant friends, not just Hispanic, but also German, English, Russian. But they all came to this country legally, I used to work at butterfield foods in butterfield, we had some of the guys get busted by ins, seriously not even 2 weeks later they were back, different names. The problem is that we are associating the good honest hardworking immigrants with illegals who cant be bothered with following our country's law. Deporting only does so much, when a country is lax on illegal immigration all you can do is whine and hope something happens. So no offense to the author, but from what I hear his is quite the anti immigrant, but unless you can personally do something about it, its best to nut up or shut up, would prolly be wise to learn Spanish to.

The author is a well known pot stirrer and xenophobe. Once or twice a year the same LTTE come in. A simple google search reveals more about the fellow than anyone would care to bear witness to. Laws themselves may not be racist, but beating the drum of enforcement that serves a selfish motive is another matter. Net migration out of the US to Mexico has been the norm for 3 years. If one questions the impact on jobs, look up the examples of farm work in Mississippi and California that all those "illegal aliens" are "stealing". Remember what you learn and the value of those real felllow humans the next time you go "harvesting your groceries".

There's nothing racist about requiring people to obey the law. The laws are different now from when my ancestors came to the US.

I have no problem with immigration. My problem is solely with illegal immigration.

It's amazing how you could actually think this way. You're essentially saying that the illegal immigrants who do find their way into the U.S. are talentless, and if they came from somewhere else, they wouldn't be. To me, sir, it sounds like racism. I think you may have forgotten that your ancestors were immigrants, who "illegally" came to this land and stole it from the Native Americans. Maybe your family should be deported, and replaced with open-minded, non-racists talented individuals.

We need to enforce what we already have on the books as far as laws are.
