Not a thing about our lakes? The one asset that other towns do not have nor can they replicate them. Shame!!

i've only been here a little over 15 years and judging from the past, the city council has never listened to its voters anyways...unless you play golf or drink with them...or your kids play soccer together...

Meximo70, I couldn't agree more. I've watched the nonsense for about 20 years now. It's like our own little version of Chicago politics around here. I've only ever seen these types of politics in 3rd world nations, until recently (2008 to be exact) in our own nation. When you accept being bullied and then re-elect them you get what you deserve I guess.

we've got such beautiful lakes, parks and a great downtown area...so far i've seen squat done about the condition of lakes and parks, and everything is being moved out by the interstate...and who owns the land where these businesses are going? buddies of city council members...we have the potential to compete with okoboji...but as i've heard a million times before..."we don't want that sort of 'element' in our town".
