Democrats, Republicans should not tolerate this

Take a closer look and I think you'll find that there is one and only one judicial ruling invalidating recess appointments; and it may still be pending appeal.

Recess appointments have a long history, going back to the days when Congress stood down for the entirety of Washington's brutal summer. They certainly did not begin with Barack Obama, and he is far from the first to use them to present the Senate with an accomplished fact. There were certainly enough Republicans in the Senate in 2012 to force these appointments to the floor; but they did not do so. Why not?

Because they'd've been confirmed by the Democrat majority. As they will soon be. A shame. How nice if they could be considered on the merits, neither rubber-stamped nor tossed aside because of political partisanship.
