Stop playing the Blame game, the people responsible for this know who they are. The City of Fairmont cash in your bonds,pay off this albatross and move on. No more water rate hikes.

Oh Fairmont! Perhaps we should concentrate on bringing in business and nurturing growth to increase the tax base to justify utility expansion. Offer businesses some sort of incentive to come here. Yes, I realize that it would initially create a negative balance, but the long term return on investment would greatly benefit the community for years to come. Or we can continue to "sit on our hands" and remain complacent and just hope that everything will work out for the best.
