Thinking

Oh, it would be so great if the school believed there was a problem, but ask them, there is no problem. It has to get to the point that the student is willing to take the punishment from the school over the bulling for anything to happen. To stand up for themselves and then serve the detention for standing up for themselves. I understand it happens at all schools, but I feel Fairmont can do better. Things are in place; just follow the rules that are in place. And don’t be afraid to really look at what is going on in the halls, is that not why the have all of the cameras?

I recently watched a documentary on bullying, which followed three families, two whose children had commited suicide due to bullying. One child was only 11 years old. I don't have children of my own, but can't imagine what it will take to make school officials wake up and take control of the situation. Children need to feel safe.

I think that anti-bullying programs are just a way to bully bullies into not bullying. When will this madness end???
