Ask White Bear Lake, MN residents about using well water instead of lake water. How did that turn out for them?

You bring up White Bear Lake, MN and you are comparing apples to bananas. Don't compare a city to a village when it comes to water usage and supply available if you are referring to White Bear's aquifer issues and lake levels. I am well aware of the water situation in White Bear because I have family living there and White Bear compared to Fairmont is a very unrealistic comparison.

Gee Fairmont has pumped over it's allotment on it's water permit with the DNR for the last 3 years but we wouldn't want to mention that with our new water plant. Now the city is fear mongering to prevent the use of private wells that would impact it's monopoly.
