Let's stay on the right path that Governor Dayton and the Dems have us on. There is negotiations in their discussions instead of the old mantra of "no new taxes" and no alternatives. Now if some of the sore loser republicans can stay out of the way, we can finally make some progress with new revenues as well necessary cuts. We have been playing games for too long with our shifts.

I like your comment about how you will keep us posted on "their" progress... How about you keep us posted on "your" progress? What have you done for your region lately ? please explain. and please stop hanging your hat on the jobz program that's now tossed out...You chaired an Economic Development Committee yet you were mearly a pawn for Metro leaders and ignored southern Minnesota.

Mr. Gunther, let's face it. You and the GOP had little to do with the state's fiscal recovery. The schools are still owed billions of dollars, the state's infrastructure is crumbling, and myriad other issues that need to be addressed. You're lucky the small state's businesses have done well and our unemployment numbers stayed relatively low, otherwise those four rosy budget updates would have been terrible.
