| | The Fourth on a lakeJuly 5, 2012 - Jodelle GreinerI sat out on the shore of Sisseton Lake Wednesday night with a thousand or so of my closest friends watching the fireworks for the Fourth. It really is a unique experience to watch fireworks over a body of water. I was trying to watch the explosions in the sky at the same time as I was trying to see the reflection in the water. I learned as quickly as they come and go, you can only see one or the other. Another cool thing is all the watercraft out on the lake, seeing all those little lights floating just above the surface of the water. It lends a calming, lazy-summer-day vibe to the festivities. It’s something you can’t get when the fireworks are set out in a field. Kudos to all those who organize and put on the fireworks show. It was a lot of fun to watch all the different colors and shapes expand in the sky. It’s definitely a tradition worth keeping. Article CommentsNo comments posted for this article.
