"I'm in a hurry & don't know why..."

June 12, 2012 - Jennifer Brookens
"I'm in a hurry & don't know why," could be my theme song for the past few days. With as busy as I seem, you'd think I'd be getting a lot more done, but that "to do" list seems to get longer and longer.

At work, I have lots of stories I could be/should be writing, but there's usually a missing piece... So the day is spent waiting on call backs and confirmations, or receiving some information that makes the whole story a moot point. I actually woke up this morning in a panic, convinced I forgot about an important meeting the night before, only to remember the meeting is today instead. Overload much?!

Then on the home front, forget the "improvement" projects when I can't even keep up on the daily dishes and laundry! And the kids are already going terrorist on each other with less than two weeks of summer vacation under their belts! With the number of times I've had to physically haul my four-year-old, 45-pound boy up the stairs to his room for time out, I should be in exercise guru shape by August! I've even tried separating them for most of the day with the older one in day camps and other activities. (Which is another level to MY fragile sanity, trying to remember another ever-changing schedule!) But by the time we get home, the two are already in Smackdown mode. Sometimes I'm ready to just let them have a cage match and get it over with!

And I have to remember to hang on, because the Summer Blur is just getting started! Hang on tight, folks!
