Oh, dear, I am getting old.

July 15, 2011 - Kylie Saari
It suddenly came clear to me when Google+ invites started showing up in my mailbox.

I already have Facebook, and all my "friends" are on Facebook, and I know how to use Facebook, and it sounds like Google+ is just a Google-themed Facebook.

But it is what all the cool kids are doing these days. Is it possible my reluctance to switch means I am no longer in that enviable crowd, and the fact that I don't particularly care because joining another Facebook would mean I would have to update two statuses instead of one and that is just complicating and time consuming. Does that mean I am being the slippery slope into become a bitter old woman who can't keep up with what the kids are doing these days?

I may go over to the dark side. I am undecided. And I don't know if I will do it just to prove I am a hep cat, or if I will just be one of the late adopters?

I admit, I boycotted CDs in high school because I didn't really see them as lasting long term. And they didn't, but I missed a good 15 years of music before the iPod/Pandora took off. I still have a tape deck in my car. I am holding out on buying a new one till they figure out all the bells and whistles to make it worth my purchase. But I digress.

Are any of you using the Google Facebook yet? What do you think? Is it worth jumping ship?
