Summer activities

The following is a list of some of the activities available for children in and around Fairmont this summer. The activities listed here are free. Please post any additions to the list in the comments. 

*4-H Summer adventure camps (For kids k-6th grade). Mondays 10:30-11:30 June and July. Call 235-3341 to register.

*Hy-Vee Day/4H Camp at the Park (For 1st-6th grade). Thursday, June 17 9:30 - 12:30.

*June 7 6-8 p.m. Free swimming and music from Bob the Beachcomber. Kickoff for the Martin County Library's summer reading program.

*Fridays starting June 11. 1 p.m., movies showing at Fairmont library.

* Check out the library's website. There are tons of activities and storytimes. Too many to list here.

*Family Bike Ride or Walk. Travel maps available at Gomsrud Park house. Rides are one hour or longer in length.

* Martin County Safety Day Camp. (For kids entering 1st through 6th grade) Hands-on safety sessions at Heritage Acres. 12:30 - 6p.m.
