Can't help it.

I realize it can be irritating to hear people go on and on about how wonderful things are. It goes against our natural inclination to commiserate.

But let's just indulge each other - it was a hard winter.

This morning on my daily jog, I saw lots of animals out. Mallards, squirrels, robins. The sun was blindingly low in the sky. It brought me such happiness to see them; especially the two male Mallards squatting down in the middle of the road completely oblivious to their precarious location. The quacked at my as I ran by, as if to say, "Excuse me, your footfalls are too close, please leave us alone."

The run was difficult; I have troublesome feet, but the scenery made it worthwhile.
