Typewriter

January 13, 2010 - Kylie Saari
When my laptop crashed, permanently taking two half-written stories with it. I decided to go old school. G-ma's typewriter. It fits in well in the office. The clacking keys echoing through the cavernous office over the quiet hum of 35ish computers. Turns out it is more at home here than I thought. While inspecting it (read, trying to get the paper to move) I noticed a sticker on the inside, showing it was from the Livewire, the printing company that produces the Jackson County Pilot. Thanks Grandma for a bit of history, thanks typewriter for a power-failure proof word processor.
