Woke up this morning/To see patches of snowflakes/Still trying to deny

Kids way too hyper/For this early in morning/Why can't they sleep in?

Downstairs I'm greeted/By the dishes and laundry/Why I am a grouch.

Snow melts, kids get dressed/Put pizza in the oven/Start to take control

Then the pizza burns/Kids and husband disgusted/Some days I can't win

Blue sky a promise/Then I start to remember/Happy Birthday Dad

Wish you were still here/But I know things are better/Still love and miss you
