Hometown Youth

June 19, 2013 - Jodelle Greiner
There are a lot of kids around here who are doing all sorts of worthwhile things and you can read all about them in the Hometown Youth magazine which will come out Tuesday.

I had a lot of fun interviewing the kids I wrote about.

Mikayla Jenkins has taken a path not a lot of girls do, and her dedication is tested as she spends a lot of time defending her chosen profession.

Wes Meyer has been exposed to a lot of medical conditions and it’s given him an understanding most of his peers don’t have.

Katlyn Schonborn, Heidi Herrmann and Lauren Madetzke learned how to take a humble product and turn it into a fun hobby that gives them a way to help others.

Brooke Rosenberg has learned having a life-threatening illness doesn’t have to slow her down as she enjoys multiple activities.

Aaron Slama is having a great time traveling and saving lives.

There are lots more kids to read about in the Hometown Magazine, so make sure you pick one up Tuesday.
