| | Navigating 90March 13, 2013 - Jodelle GreinerHere’s a shout-out to the person driving the pick-up hauling the three vehicles on a trailer westbound on I-90 Tuesday night from Blue Earth to Fairmont. It was very comforting to have you to follow, especially under those terrible road and wind conditions. There was so much snow packed on the road, which of course made it slick, and then the gale-force wind was blowing all that loose snow across the road, which was very disorienting — there was a stretch where I thought I was going kitty-corner down the road, but I wasn’t, my eyes were just playing tricks on me with the snow. Those are the times when you navigate by yardlights, signs on the side of the road, and the vehicles traveling with you. Why was I out in such terrible weather? Had a Winnebago City Council meeting to cover. Today, I ran over to Blue Earth Area School, and amazingly, I-90 was totally clear, no snow or ice on the roadway at all. I’m sure the sunshine helped, but I’m also thinking the road crews probably had something to do with it, too. Article CommentsNo comments posted for this article.
