Thanks for supplies

To the Editor:

On behalf of the kindergarten teachers and staff at Fairmont Elementary School, I would like to thank the generous donors in the surrounding communities that aided in providing nearly 110 kindergarteners with their school supplies for the 2017-2018 school year.

It is always a nice way to kick off our school year as we watch the anxious students explore what they received in their goody bag, which consisted of a toolbox, pencils, crayons, scissors, gluesticks and Kleenex.

A special thank you to all of the volunteers who helped gather and hand out the supplies, as well. We are lucky to live in such a caring and giving community. Thank you.
