Church, school on right path

To the Editor:

School is about to start again, but it’s anything but “usual” for St. James Lutheran School and St. James and Zion Lutheran churches.

First, we welcome a new principal to the helm: Mr. Jon Jenks. He brings new and exciting skills to the position and a new vision for the educational ministry to the Northrop area.

Second, things are progressing on the new church building with footings completed and the steel framework soon rising to form the shell of the future place of worship.

Third, we have consistent spiritual care in the persons of Rev. David Schultz during the week and Rev. Phill Andreasen on Sunday mornings. The stability that these two pastors bring is so appreciated and welcome.

The congregation and school want to thank everyone for their support, encouragement and understanding over the last year or so. We’ve gone through a lot but our God is still in control and our mission is to share the love of Jesus with young and old.

With these new and exciting additions to our long-time ministry in the community, we’re making forward progress again. We’d love to have you join us for the journey.
