Help us create

mall play area

To the Editor:

Project 1590 subgroup “Kids Just Want To Have Fun” has been busy raising funds and spreading the word for an indoor play area at Five Lakes Centre in Fairmont.

Fairmont Eagles will host a Belgian Waffle feed from 4:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 13, at the club located at 1228 W. Lake Ave., Fairmont, with the profits going toward this project. Please join us for a nice meal and help raise money for this project to benefit children and families in our community.

Our goal is to raise funds by July and install equipment by November so that the area is ready when the snow begins to fall and outdoor parks cannot be utilized. Please see our Facebook site at “Five Lakes Centre Indoor Play Area – Fairmont MN” or visit www.fairmont.org where you can find us under “Project 1590.” You can also donate directly to the project at https://www.youcaring.com/fairmontcommunity-765939

Thank you for your support.

Blessed by many,

blessing many

To the Editor:

What takes 32 businesses and 11 individuals donating goods, 23 businesses sponsoring advertisements (with special rates from newspapers and radio), 45 volunteers, all of the Kinship staff and board, the Martin County Fair Board providing a building and Rabe International giving help with its fork lift?

These are what made this year’s Kinship Industrial Rummage Sale/Auction a success. The sale (held May 4-6) is a sweet memory now, but the lasting effect of the funds raised for Kinship is manifested in more than 120 mentors and mentees bonding in special friendships that will guide them throughout their lives.

Thank you to the many who blessed Kinship with their donations and help. Thank you to all who came to the sale. Thank you to our community for supporting the mentoring of our youth through Kinship. We all are blessed,

Char Kahler
