Kinship grateful for support

To the Editor:

On Dec. 4, a joyful noise could be heard echoing throughout the Knights of Columbus Hall, as 124 mentors and mentees from Fairmont Area Kinship were singing “Jingle Bells” along with a special visitor, Santa Claus. With our outstanding force of mentors, rent-a-ments, board members and volunteers, we were able to have our largest Fairmont Area Kinship activity yet.

Every youth was able to go home with their own Christmas present after eating a delicious meal, making a great Christmas craft, and playing games with his or her mentor.

Kinship would like to thank Minnesota Trucking Association for the wonderful presents for the youth, the new Kinship Student Volunteer Group for planning our games, Ann Osborn for our lovely Christmas crafts, and for all of our other amazing volunteers who helped make this such a special activity.

Kinship is always looking for more adults who are willing to be a friend to a youth. If you are interested in helping out with one of our activities or in being a mentor, contact us at (507) 238-4440.
