FAIRMONT — A funeral service for Faye Preuss, 92, of Fairmont, Minn., will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, 2019, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Fairmont, Minn. Burial will be held at Lakeside Cemetery, Fairmont.

Faye passed away Saturday morning, Jan. 5, 2019, at Heartland Senior Living in Truman, Minn. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2019, at Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont.

Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements.

Lois “Faye” Preuss was born Jan. 7, 1926, in Wells, Minn., to Floyd and Elizabeth (Culshaw) Lewis. She received her education from Wells Public School.

On Feb. 28, 1960, Faye was united in marriage to Norman Preuss at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Mankato, Minn. This marriage was blessed with two children, John and Julie. After their marriage, they made their home in Mankato until 1962, when they moved to New Ulm. In 1970, Norman and Faye moved to Fairmont. Faye worked for many years at JCPenney in Fairmont.

Faye was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Fairmont.

Faye enjoyed socializing with friends and family. She always wanted to make sure everyone was happy and having a good time. She will be remembered for her “nuts and bolts” Chex mix and was never afraid to try new things.

Faye is survived by her children, John (Angela) Preuss of Fairmont, and Julie (Paul) Brammer of Burnsville; three grandchildren, Justin (Melanie) Preuss, Elizabeth (Brady) Meyer and Olivia Brammer; two great-grandchildren, Caleb and Gavin Meyer; sister-in-law, Lucille (Mike) Alm; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Norman Preuss; and other relatives.
