FAIRMONT — Private family services for Pearl M. Bahr, 96, of Fairmont, Minn., were held July 9 at Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont. Burial was held in the Center Creek Cemetery near Granada, Minn.
Pearl passed away Thursday morning, July 5, 2018, at the Bethesda Grand Nursing Home in Willmar, Minn.
Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Fairmont assisted the family with arrangements.
Pearl Mildred (Badje) Bahr was born Nov. 5, 1921, in Lincoln, Neb., daughter of Florence and Stonson Cegelski. She received her education attending school in Huntley, Minn.
On Sept. 7, 1939, Pearl was united in marriage to Lyle A. Bahr in Spirit Lake, Iowa. Together the couple would make their home on a farm near Granada and later Huntley, where they lived until moving to Fairmont in 2002. Pearl was a hard working farm wife and she took great pride in taking care of her family and duties on the farm.
After their retirement, Pearl and Lyle enjoyed wintering in Texas and going on camping trips with family and friends. Family was extremely important to Pearl and she truly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a wonderful cook and had a special place in her heart for babies and four-legged friends. Pearl loved her bismarck donuts.
Pearl was a past member of the Granada United Methodist Church and was a current member of the Fairmont United Methodist Church.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Debra (Earl) Sorenson of Willmar; grandchildren, Amber (Ryan) Kooiker, Ryan Sorenson, and Kelly (Jason) Hosek; great-grandchildren, Ana, Kelsey, Mike, Addison, Khloey, Savanna, Jase, and Jamie; as well as many other family and friends.
Pearl was preceded in death by her parents, Florence and Stonson Cegelski; husband, Lyle Bahr; a daughter, Connie Lange; son, Ronnie Bahr; and two sisters.
