BLUE EARTH — Lonnie R. Trasamar, age 63, husband, father, grandfather, and brother passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2018, at United Hospital District in Blue Earth. Funeral services will be held 3:30 p.m. Friday, June 15, 2018, at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Blue Earth, Minn., with Father Peter Klein officiating.

Patton Funeral Home in Blue Earth is entrusted with arrangements.

Lonnie was born Nov. 22, 1954, in Minneapolis, Minn., and adopted by Milton and Dolores Trasamar of Elmore, Minn. He graduated from Elmore High School in 1973 and received his master’s in business administration from the University of Minnesota in 1978.

Lonnie was broker/realtor of Trasamar Realty in Elmore, where he met his future wife, Cindy Homan. They were married July 25, 1981, at St. Ann’s Church in Slayton, Minn.

In 1986, Lonnie and Cindy moved to Blue Earth, where they later welcomed their two sons, Ryan and Jon.

Lonnie was also president of Blue Earth State/MidAmerica and Wells Federal Bank before returning to the real estate industry, his true passion, at Barslou Realty LLC.

Throughout his life, Lonnie enjoyed golf, horse races, music, U.S. presidential history and many family trips to Walt Disney World. Lonnie loved his life, his family, his friends and hobbies, and made an impact on everyone he encountered with his expressive personality.

Lonnie is survived by his wife of 36 years, Cindy; two sons, Ryan (Heather) Trasamar of Sioux Falls, S.D., Jon Trasamar (girlfriend Allie Haen) of Blue Earth, Minn.; grandson, Lincoln of Sioux Falls, S.D.; and sister, Phyllis (Dick) Birk of Madison, S.D.

Lonnie was preceded in death by his parents; and father and mother-in-law, Marce and Joyce Homan.
