WINNEBAGO — Sandy (Dahms) Tolzmann, age 61, of Winnebago, Minn., passed away peacefully Thursday, Jan. 4, 2018, after a brief battle with cancer at United Hospital District in Blue Earth, Minn. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 8, 2018, at First Baptist Church of WInnebago, with Rev. Daren Barnett presiding.

Sandy was born May 12, 1956, in Winnebago, Minn., to Elmer and Ramona (Armstrong) Dahms. She graduated from Winnebago High School in 1974.
Sandy attended cosmetology school in Fairmont to become a hair stylist. After finishing cosmetology school, Sandy began working at Fern’s Beauty Shop in Winnebago. She also worked for several years at Windings in Winnebago.
Sandy married Ronald Tolzmann after she graduated from high school. They then settled down to raise a family in Winnebago.
Sandy loved to go canoeing, play cribbage, and other games with her family and friends. She especially loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and friends.
Sandy was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald; and nephew, Todd Owen.
Sandy is survived by her four children, Aaron (Abby) Tolzmann, Audra (Matthew) Thomas, David Tolzmann, Danielle (Dustin) Every; eight grandchildren; parents, Elmer and Ramona Dahms; brother, Randy (Yolanda) Dahms; sister, Charlene (Bruce) Bartels; and many other loving relatives and friends.
