FAIRMONT — Funeral services for Lucille E. Gorgen, 103, of Fairmont, Minn., formerly of Granada, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2017, at First Congregational United Church of Christ in Fairmont. Burial will follow the service in the Fairview Memorial Park Cemetery.

Lucille passed away Monday morning, Dec. 18, 2017, at Lakeview Methodist Health Care Center. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2017, at Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont, and one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.

Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements.

Lucille Eisenbarger Gorgen was born Sept. 18, 1914, in Martin County, to Hallie and Maude (Mason) Bullard. She graduated from Granada High School and took teacher training in Fairmont. She taught country school in Martin County.

She married Ora Eisenbarger in 1934. They resided in Center Creek Township and helped run the family business, Sunrise Golden Dairy. Later they farmed and owned and operated in partnership the Skelly Oil Company in Granada. Upon Ora’s death in 1967, Lucille went to work as secretary for the Martin County Farm Bureau. In the 1990s, she became a teacher’s aide in the Granada-Huntley school system. She worked as an aide for 10 years.

Lucille married William “Bill” Gorgen in 1981. They made their home in Mineral Point, Wis. She created beautiful flower gardens and, on more than one occasion, a bridal party would come for pictures in the garden. Bill passed away in 1985 and, in 1999, Lucille returned to Fairmont.

No matter what community Lucille lived in, she was always active in that community and in her church, serving in many capacities over the years. She is a member of the First Congregational UCC Church of Fairmont, Minn.

Lucille lived in Lakeview Nursing Home since December 2013.

Lucille is survived by daughter, Dolores Gronewald of Fairmont; stepson and wife, Greg and Joni Gorgen, of Mineral Point, Wis.; daughter-in-law, Barbara (Kirk) Gentling of North Port, Fla.; brothers, Don Bullard of Payson, Ariz., and Bob Bullard of Forest Lake, Minn.; granddaughters, Kim (Dan) Hall of Eagan, Minn., Jennifer (Scott) King of Eden Prairie, Minn.; granddaughter-in-law, Ann Gronewald of Granada, Minn.; step-granddaughter Beth Larson of Dodgeville, Wis.; grandson, John (Debbie) Eisenbarger of Lenexa, Kan.; grandson-in-law, Dan Hinrichs of Eden Prairie, Minn.; step-grandsons, Grant (Ann) Gorgen, Steve (Denise) Gorgen of Mineral Point, Wis., and Mike (Jenny) Gorgen of Dodgeville, Wis.; great-grandchildren, Kyle and Kelsey Eisenbarger of Lenexa, Kan., Ross (Jessica) Gronewald of Granada, Minn., Rachel (Aaron) Jarvinen of Lakeville, Minn., Abby and Elise Hinrichs of Eden Prairie, Minn., Megan (Yon) Moya of Bloomington, Minn., Kayla (Alex) Hinseth of Shoreview, Minn., Alison (Hayden) Flack of Burnsville, Minn.; step-great-grandchildren, Lexie and Tyra Leonard and Grady and Gunnar Gorgen of Mineral Point, Wis., Matthew, Joshua and Ryan Gorgen of Dodgeville, Wis., Joey, Jaynie and Jake Gorgen of Mineral Point, Wis., Kiagh and Kendall VanEtten of Dodgeville, Wis.; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, Hallie and Maude Bullard; sisters, Vivian Intlekofer, Doris Collins, and Marvel Overby; husbands, Ora and William; son, James Eisenbarger; son-in-law, Don Gronewald; grandson, Scott Gronewald; mother-in-law, Erma Eisenbarger; father-in-law, James Eisenbarger; sisters-in-law, Doris Bullard, Adeline Bullard, Gwen Bullard, Dora Eisenbarger, and Inez Barnes; brothers-in-law, John Intlekofer, Loren Collins, Raymond Overby, Dale Barnes, and Ernest Eisenbarger.
