WELCOME — A Visitation and Sharing of Memories for Bruce D. Williamson, 59, of Perham, Minn., will be 2-5 p.m., Saturday, May 27, 2017, his 60th birthday, at Tod Williamson’s home located at 1667 100th Ave., Welcome, Minn.

Bruce was called to his eternal rest in the early morning on Sunday, May 21, 2017, after fighting a courageous battle with cancer.

Bruce Dean Williamson was born May 27, 1957, in Trimont, Minn., to Oscar and Doris (Steinberg) William-son. He attended Trimont High School.

On Sept. 10, 1983, he was united in marriage to Paula Marquardt at the United Methodist Church in Trimont. After their marriage, they lived and worked in the Trimont area, until Bruce went back to school and received a degree in telecommunications.

Upon his graduation from Minnesota West in 1989, he was employed with CC&I Engineering, Inc. of Fargo, N.D. CC&I Engineering (now Compass Consultants) relocated to Perham in 1997 and Bruce continued working for them until 2012. In 2012, he started working for Northeast Service Coop of Mountain Iron, Minn., as their Outside Plant Manager. In the spring of 2016, he became employed with MP Nexlevel, Inc. of Maple Lake, Minn. as a construction supervisor.

Bruce enjoyed hunting, fishing, and “tinkering” in his garage on any given project.

Bruce is survived by his spouse, Paula; his daughters, Nicole and Tesa of Perham; mother, Doris Marquardt of rural Welcome, Minn.; sisters, Jeannette “Pinky” (David) Metcalf of Mountain View, Mo., Tami Williamson of Rochester, Minn.; brother, Tod (Twyla) Williamson of rural Welcome, Minn.; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Bruce was preceded in death by his father Oscar on Nov. 25, 1977; brother, Harlan on Dec. 4, 1986; sister, Kay on July 21, 2015; and other relatives.
