Manley ‘Bill’ Wede

SHERBURN — A Celebration of Life service for Manley “Bill” Wede, 85, of Sherburn, will be 11 a.m. Friday at the Sherburn Assembly of God Regional Worship Center in Sherburn. Burial, with military honors by the Thomas P. Saxton American Legion Post #356 and the Sherburn Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #8261, will follow the service in the Sherburn Cemetery.

Wede died Sunday morning, May 21, 2017, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Fairmont. Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. Friday at the Sherburn Assembly of God Regional Worship Center in Sherburn.

Kramer Family Funeral Home of Sherburn is in charge of arrangements.

Manley William Wede was born July 21, 1931, in Lime Creek, Minn., to William Charles and Marie Bertha (Sodeman) Wede. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served during the Korean Conflict until being honorably discharged. He also served in the U.S. Army Reserve and the Minnesota National Guard totaling 28 years of military service.

Survivors include: his wife, Joan J. (Jensen) Wede of Sherburn; daughter, Linda Parker of Big Sur, Calif.; two sons, Greg Wede of Worthington, and Cory Wede of Sherburn; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; in-laws, Carol Jensen of Windom, Donna Mason of Davis, Calif., Wayne Jensen of Bingham Lake, and Glalynn Baird of Sacramento, Calif.
