Marie was born to George and Anna Swanson on September 29, 1923, in Clear Lake, Wisconsin. She graduated from Clear Lake High School.  On December 27, 1945, she married Gene (Walter) Bosshart.

Marie and Gene made their home in Clear Lake and Boyceville, Wisconsin before moving to Truman, Minnesota in 1949.  Together they were blessed with seven children.

Marie was a very strong person who cherished home life, her faith, and her family.  She was a charter member of Saint Katherine’s Parish and was one of the first members to help establish the Saint Katherine’s Church in Truman.  She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

Marie and Gene were known for their large garden and hobby farm.  She always had something growing and something to give away.  Her quick-witted sense of humor will be forever remembered by those who loved her.  She never had a harsh word for anyone and always offered a strong shoulder to lean on.  She relished in the grandchildren with all their accomplishments in school and sports and loved to hear their stories and see their drawings and pictures.

Marie is survived by her seven children – RoseMary Kasten, Carl (Kathy) Bosshart, Kathy (Tom) Jorgensen, Barbara Martinson, George (Debra) Bosshart, Chuck (Sun) Bosshart, and Alan Bosshart; 19 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; sister Evelyn Berends; very special sister-in-law Nancy Bosshart; nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.
