Nadene Phyllis Weerts

WINNEBAGO — Mrs. Nadene Phyllis Weerts, age 86, passed away Monday evening, Jan. 9, 2017, at Hope’s Place, an assisted-living home in Tucson, Ariz.

She was a wonderful Christian who loved the Lord and loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren very much.

While she was able, her joy was to live for others and help those in need in any way she could. Often driving the elderly to their doctor appointments or visiting them in their home or rest home.

She enjoyed reading her Bible and inspirational books in addition to working with the flowers in her yard.

Her pets were a big part of her life and gave her grandchildren something to tease her about.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday at Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont. Services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 20, at the Presbyterian Church in Winnebago, with burial in Rosehill Cemetery.
