‘Jump Start’ held Tuesdays

CEYLON — Operation Jump Start youth group for children ages 8 to 16 years continues from 4:30-6:30 p.m. every Tuesday at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Ceylon. The fun program teaches life skills.

There are kickball games for children ages 5-15 from 6-8 p.m. Wednesdays at the park in Ceylon. The games run through Aug. 11. Have you registered? Just go, watch and cheer on the players.

St. Peter Lutheran Church holds the evening summer services for the Circle of Faith parishes 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays during the month of June. The 8:30 a.m. Sunday services are held at the other two churches.

Coffee lovers group continues serving coffee from 8:30-10 a.m. each Thursday at the Legends 2/Legion building in Ceylon. Sounds like a good alternative to the Tuesday coffee hours not being held in June.

Tuesday coffee hours will continue in July at St. Peter Lutheran church.

If you have relatives coming or you are planning your summer vacation, remember the Ceylon Festival will be held July 15 this year. There will be a car, tractor, motorcycle show, vendors and a parade, followed by a country show by Mark Johnson.
