Band concert set for Jan. 22
SHERBURN — The monthly steak and shrimp dinner will be 5:30-8:30 p.m. Saturday at the Sherburn American Legion. They serve steak, shrimp, combo or smoked pork chop, along with baked potato, garlic toast and salad bar. Everyone is welcome.
A meeting for Martin County West junior class parents to make plans for the post-prom party will begin 7 p.m. tonight in the high school cafeteria.

Also, junior class parents ask you to show your “Maverick Pride” by purchasing window clings for $10 each. They’re available for purchase or to order at boy’s home basketball games in Trimont. Proceeds will go toward the after-prom party.
MCW will host its “All-Band Concert” beginning 7 p.m. Jan. 22 in the gymnasium at the Jr./Sr. High School in Sherburn. The public is encouraged to attend.
There will be “open gym” for anyone interested in getting exercise this winter season from 2-4 p.m. Sundays at the high school gym in Sherburn.
Card playing is going on beginning 7 p.m. each Thursday at the Sherburn American Legion. Poker and Buck Euchre are played. Everyone who enjoys playing cards is welcome.
Martin Luther High School in Northrop will hold its 14th annual “Generation to Generation” Antique Auction at 9:45 a.m. Saturday. Morning coffee and rolls will be served, and sandwiches and beverages will be available for the all-day sale.
Sherburn Lions will be serving a pancake breakfast from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Jan. 21 at the Sherburn American Legion. The event is sponsored by the Sherburn American Legion Auxiliary, and the Lions will be making the pancakes. There will be a free will offering with proceeds to be used for auxiliary projects. Everyone is invited.
