Teen involved in one-vehicle crash
FAIRMONT — A driver was injured in a one-vehicle accident in rural Martin County on Sunday, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
The accident occurred at 5:04 p.m. along Highway 263 near 90th Street. According to the State Patrol:
A 17-year-old male was driving a 2002 Volkswagen Jetta south on Highway 263 when he fell asleep at the wheel. The Jetta went off the road and rolled in the ditch near 90th Street.
The driver was transported by ambulance to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Martin County Sheriff’s Office, Gold Cross Ambulance and Welcome Fire Department assisted at the scene.
