Post-prom meeting set for Jan. 10

SHERBURN — Our Martin County West community has been saddened this week by the death of Deanna Garbers. She was a teacher and coach at Martin County West High School and a friend to many.

She bravely and tirelessly fought cancer for so long, but when you asked her, she was always just “fine.” Our heartfelt sympathy to the Garbers family, her school “family” and her students.

Mrs. Garbers was a math teacher, but she taught her students through example so much more than math. She will be deeply missed.
