Church offers ‘cookie cafe’

WELCOME — St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Welcome will be the place to be for Christmas cookies from 8:30-10 a.m. Saturday.

Attend their cookie bakery and café to purchase Christmas cookies and sample some with coffee or cider. The cookies will be sold by the dozen.

This would be the easy way to get Christmas baking done.

Welcome Legion and Sons of the Legion will meet 7:30 p.m. Monday at the Legion. All members are urged to attend.

The post office would like to remind residents to mail packages by Dec. 19 to ensure delivery by Christmas.

Upcoming events include:

o Benefit pancake feed and bake sale for Rachel Schafer from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Dec. 16 at Martin County West High School in Sherburn.

o Craft and vendor show from 1-4 p.m. Dec. 16 at the Welcome Legion.

o Cribbage tournament beginning 1:15 p.m. Dec. 16 at the Welcome Legion.

o A Sunday school program 9:30 a.m. Dec. 17 at St. Paul’s UCC in Welcome.

Also, Sunday school Christmas programs will be held 10:30 a.m. Dec. 17 at both Trinity in Welcome and Waverly, north of Welcome.

Circle the dates and plan to attend the events of your choice.
