Shop in Truman Days will be held Friday. Flyers are available at many locations throughout town, telling of the great promotions and unique activities going on all day in Truman.

Nineteen businesses will have open houses, merchandise specials and much more.

There will be horse-driven sleigh rides at the Truman Museum, and a Holiday Craft and a Home Business show will be held noon to 6 p.m., with 17 vendors at the Truman Community Building.

St. Paul’s Church Circle will have a bake sale from noon until goods are gone at the Truman Community Building.

Truman Community Club is encouraging people to visit all the Shop in Truman open houses by hosting a crossword contest. You can pick up a crossword clues to get your answers. All who complete their puzzle correctly will be entered in a drawing for $250 in gift certificates from Truman businesses.

Truman Library is hosting kids edible tree craft at 5:30 p.m. Friday at the library.

It’s pizza party time for kids in grades 2-6 from 4:30-5:30 p.m. Wednesday. To be a part of this event, you must register by Friday. The cost is $5 to make and eat your own pizza. Lewisville American Legion Auxiliary is hosting a soup and sandwich luncheon from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Legion. Santa will be there.

“On This Very Night,” a community Christmas cantata, will be held 2 p.m. Sunday in the auditorium at Truman Public School. There is no charge, but a free will offering will be taken to provide more of these events in the future. The public is invited to enjoy this uplifting music for the season.

Truman Public Schools Elementary Christmas program will be 7 p.m. Monday.

Santa’s shopping spree for Truman school children, pre-K through sixth grade, will be 3:15-5 p.m. Tuesday at the community building. Gifts are 50 cents. Please make out your list so your child can be prepared.

Several adults will be available to help younger children choose gifts. Cider will be available for parents while they wait.

Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus will be there to wish everyone a merry Christmas.

This shopping spree is sponsored by the Truman Sorority.

Please join the Truman Toys for Tots in helping needy children. You can help by bringing unwrapped new gifts or monetary donation to Elizabeth Chevrolet or Profinium during regular business hours by noon Tuesday. Don’t forget that older kids need gifts also.
