Magic Show in the works

TRUMAN — Truman Lions Club Burger Bash will be 5-7 p.m. Saturday at the Truman Community Building. Enjoy a delicious burger or two with all the fixings, chips, beans and a beverage. Take-outs are available.

“Truman Times” can be heard at 3:15 p.m. Monday on KNUJ AM 860 Radio from New Ulm. Mayor Lynn Brownlee will tell us about events taking place in our town.

The Truman High School class of 2021 will bus tables from 5-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Pizza Ranch in Fairmont. This event is a fundraiser for the class.

A Halloween Magic Show for people of all ages, with tricks to treats for everyone, is scheduled to begin 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Truman elementary auditorium. The show is 45 minutes of non-stop comedy, live animals and magical fun. This show is not scary.

Come and enjoy the mind-boggling magic and illusions with plenty of audience participation too.

Take the night off from cooking as Truman Pride will be selling concessions beginning at 6 p.m. There is no admission fee.

A special lady by the name of Leilah Franke is turning 101 years old on Oct. 27. Cards can be sent to Leilah at 400 N. Fourth Ave. East, Truman, MN 56088. Enjoy your day.

Residents and staff at Truman Senior Living will be judging a child/young adult Halloween costume contest 2:30 p.m. Oct. 27. DJ Mary Anne from Mary Anne’s Karaoke will be entertaining. Please come out and show your support with the residents and staff at Truman Senior Living.

Elizabeth Chevrolet and other businesses are having a Treat ‘n Trunk event from 4-6 p.m. Oct. 27 at Elizabeth Chevrolet. Youngsters can also decorate cookies, paint pumpkins and color. If you are a business and would like to be a part of this event, just call (507) 776-2131.

A benefit for Kaycee Hintz will be 4-8 p.m. Oct. 28 at the Truman Community Building. A meal of pulled pork sandwiches, salads, beans, cookies and beverages will be served.

There will also be a bake sale and silent auction. All proceeds go toward family expenses.
