On Friday, celebrate Earth

TRUMAN — Friday is Earth Day. Pick up trash, ride your bike to work or take a walk to show your appreciation for Mother Nature.

Friday is the day to wear purple in support of our military youth.

Friday is a regular scheduled school day. Due to make-up minutes from snow days, school will be dismissed at 3 p.m.

There will be an open house bridal shower for Hayley Koeritz from 1:30-3:30 p.m. Saturday in the Fellowship Room at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Truman. Hayley is the bride-to-be of Paul Luther.

Be sure to listen to “Truman Time” at 3:15 p.m. Monday on KNUJ AM 860 radio from New Ulm to hear all of the happenings about the Truman area presented by Mayor Lynn Brownlee.

Lewisville Fun Daze will be busing tables from 5-9 p.m. Monday at Pizza Ranch in Fairmont. The committee also has T-shirts and sweatshirts for sale. Both are fundraisers for the Lewisville Fun Daze celebration June 17. Please help support the Lewisville Fun Daze.

Knitters and crocheters of all levels and ages can gather at 4 p.m. every Wednesday in the Booz Apartment commons area located at 221 West First Avenue North in Truman. This get-together is a great opportunity to share ideas, techniques, patterns and just have fun.

Alisha Bosshart will be honored at an open house bridal shower from 9:30-11:30 April 29 in the Fellowship Room at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Truman. Alisha is the daughter of John and Deb Bosshart and bride-to-be of Adam Prangle.
