Auxiliary light cover(s) required — Gage D. Salisbury, 19, of Fairmont; fined $135.

Emily J. Scholten, 33, of Moorhead was convicted of driving without a valid drivers license or vehicle class/type; fined $180, sentenced to jail three days, credit for time served three days.

Jose C. Contreras, 30, of Fairmont was convicted of driving after revocation; fined $285. Also convicted of failure of driver to carry proof of insurance when operating a vehicle; fined $200. Also convicted of speeding; fined $140.

Mark R. Gifford, 46, of Forest Lake was convicted of driving after suspension; fined $280. Also convicted of possession of small amount of marijuana; fined $50. Also convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia; fined $50.

Zackery T. Carlson, 30, of Ledyard, Iowa, received a statutory stay of adjudication on a charge of fifth-degree controlled substance possession-not small amount of marijuana; fined $460, sentenced to jail six days, credit for time served six days, one year supervised probation, no alcohol/controlled substance use, no alcohol/controlled substance possession, random testing, complete chemical assessment, follow all recommendations of evaluation, remain law-abiding, follow all conditions set forth in the probation agreement, follow all state and federal criminal laws, report to agent as directed, advise agent prior to changing employment and/or residence, cooperate and be truthful with agent in all matters, notify agent if arrested and/or issued a summons, obtain permission from agent before leaving the state, don’t ship/transport/possess/receive firearms or ammunition, don’t use or possess firearms or ammunition.

Shawn P. Gaston, 28, of Fairmont was convicted on a felony charge of fifth-degree controlled substance possession-not small amount of marijuana; fined $1,260, commit to Commissioner of Corrections 17 months, stayed for five years, sentenced to jail 50 days, credit for time served 50 days, five years supervised probation, counseling, complete chemical assessment, follow all recommendations of evaluation, obtain permission from agent before leaving the state, no alcohol/controlled substance use, no alcohol/controlled substance possession, random testing, cognitive skill training, maintain employment, follow all conditions set forth in the probation agreement, follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact probation agent within 72 hours if you’ve been charged with a new crime; are in contact with law enforcement; if you change address, employment, or telephone number, cooperate with search of your person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, etc. by your probation officer, sign all releases of information, give DNA sample when directed, don’t use/possess firearms, ammunition, or explosives, don’t register to vote until discharged from probation and civil rights are fully restored. One additional felony charge of third-degree controlled substance possession, and two misdemeanor charges of fifth-degree controlled substance possession-not small amount of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia, were all dismissed.
