Sherburn Lions serving prime rib

Sherburn Lions Club will serve a prime rib dinner from 5-8 p.m. Saturday at the Sherburn American Legion. The meal includes prime rib, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, bread and relishes. Cost is $20 at the door. All proceeds go to Lions Club projects. Everyone is welcome.

Great Books to meet Monday

Great Books will meet 9:30 a.m. Monday at Mary Don Kislingbury’s home, 1961 Knollwood Drive, Fairmont. The story is “God’s Work” by Kevin Canty from 2017 Best American Short Stories.

Arc group schedules Monday meeting

Pork industry event slated in Fairmont

Hugoson Pork will host a career event from 3-5 p.m. Wednesday at the CareerForce office located at Five Lakes Centre, Fairmont. The event will focus on opportunities and careers within the pork industry and include a hands-on pig experience. The public is invited.
