Martin Luther High postpones events
Because of impending weather, two events scheduled this weekend at Martin Luther High School have been postponed. The Lutheran Schools Fine Arts & Science Festival scheduled for today will instead by held 8 a.m. March 16. The soup and sandwich lunch scheduled for Sunday has been postponed until April 28. Serving will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Donations accepted. Proceeds will benefit the Tuition Aid Fund.
Retired highway workers to meet
Retired Martin County highway workers and their spouses will meet 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Ranch Restaurant, Fairmont.
Conservation Club sets Tuesday meeting
Martin County Conservation Club will meet with the Fox Lake Conservation Club at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Welcome Legion. There will be a guest speaker from DNR Wildlife Management, with the monthly meeting to follow. All members and the public are welcome to attend.
Knights to host fish and shrimp fry
Knights of Columbus 1575 will host a fish and shrimp fry from 5-8 p.m. Friday at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 920 E. 10th St., Fairmont. The public is asked to buy tickets by Wednesday. The cost is $16 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under. A portion of the proceeds will benefit a St. John Vianney’s fifth-grade class trip. Kathleen Smith of Fairmont was named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Bemidji State University in Bemidji.
