Exchange Club to meet today

Fairmont Exchange Club will meet noon today at Green Mill Restaurant, Fairmont. The program will feature Ned Koppen, president of the Fairmont Area Chamber of Commerce. Early Risers to hold Wednesday meeting

Early Risers Kiwanis Club of Fairmont will meet 6:45 a.m. Wednesday at the Ranch Restaurant, Fairmont. The program this week will feature Tammie Hested of the Martin County internship program. The public is invited to attend.

United Methodist slates Wednesday supper

Fairmont United Methodist Church will host a supper from 5-6 p.m. Wednesday at the church, 119 E. Second St., Fairmont. The menu will consist of scalloped potatoes and ham, green beans, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, donated desserts and beverages. A donation of $2 is suggested. Everyone is welcome.

Dance club slates Sunday event

Arc Different Drummer Dance Club will hold a Valentine dinner and dance from 4-7 p.m. Sunday at the Fairmont Holiday Inn. RSVP for the dinner and dance (music by Switch Blade) by noon Wednesday. The public is invited to attend. For more information, contact Pat Kietzer at (507) 848-5017.

‘Chili Challenge’ rescheduled for Friday

Because of inclement weather last week, the 2019 Chili Challenge sponsored by Martin Luther High School class of 2021 will now be held 5:30-7:30 p.m. Friday during the Jags boys basketball home game at Martin Luther High School in Northrop. CER announces upcoming activity

Fairmont Community Education and Recreation will host a family snowshoe event 1:30-3:30 p.m. Saturday at Cedar Creek Park, Fairmont. With the help of a Prairie Ecology Bus Center naturalist, participants will be able to learn about which animals stay busy in Minnesota all winter long and how to find them. Those attending are asked to dress appropriately for the weather. This event is free and sponsored by Martin County Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition and YOCO. Registration is appreciated to ensure adequate snowshoe supply and refreshments. For more information, contact CER at (507) 235-3141.
